Production quality control
The major role in control of manufactured product in the enterprise is performed by the testing laboratory, which passed the evaluation according to UkrSEPRO system in 2002, its qualification was confirmed in the Ministry of industrial policy of Ukraine in 2006 (certificate №06544-2-4-92-ВА 27.07.06). The structural arrangement of the testing laboratory contains four departments:
- spectral laboratory;
- chemical laboratory;
- metallographic laboratory;
- laboratory of linear measurements.
Each of the laboratories possesses broad family of modern high-precision equipment, which is supplemented in accordance with the program of technical re-equipment approved by “AVTRAMAT”. All the equipment is annually tested in the Center of standardization and metrology in Kharkov. According to the program of technical re-equipment, one of the latest acquisitions in august 2008 was the spectral plant SPECTROMAXX F by the German firm “SPECTRO” for identifying chemical composition of alloy on various bases (aluminum, iron etc.). Technical possibilities of this plant enable the enterprise to define more than twenty chemical elements in a broad range of concentrations. The standard samples of various brands of ferrous and nonferrous metals available in the testing laboratory guarantee the precision of identifying chemical composition and prevent the enterprise from material and image losses caused by defective product.
The quality control department of the enterprise is in charge for detecting materials of inappropriate quality and preventing the enterprise from using such materials in the process of production (incoming control), functional control of consignations and single-piece control after some operations.
The production of pistons is technically complicated process in which hi-tech casting and metal-working machinery is of great significance. Inspecting the operation of such machinery is mission for the enterprise’s calibration laboratory headed by chief meteorologist.
The calibration laboratory is qualified to carry out calibration of measurement devices for the process of manufacturing. The specialists of the calibration laboratory have triaxial calibration machine WENZEL 45 at their disposal. With the help of this machine the measuring of the product’s geometry is carried out with the precision up to 2 micrometers by 3D-models. All the laboratory’s personnel is has proper qualification and is certified to carry out calibration works depending of the evaluation field of the laboratory.
