AVTRAMAT JOINT-STOCK CO. SHORT HISTORY

-15 June 1930 – People’s Commissariat for Local Industry of Ukrainian Soviet Socialistic Republic signed the decree “On creation of “Porshen” factory on the basis of vehicle repair facilities in Kharkov”.

 

 

-1932 – “Porshen” factory was transferred into the category of nationally subordinated enterprises specialized in production of replacement components of sleeve-piston group, piston pins and cylinder sleeves.

-1934 – People’s Commissariat for Agricultural Engineering of the USSR took decision of enterprise reconstruction which was promptly carried out and enabled the government to form ultimately the complete structure of the industrial enterprise with all necessary departments.

 

 -1941 – The enterprise was evacuated to Omsk, where it resumed production of ammunition and replacement components to various types of machinery.

-1943 – Right after Kharkov had been liberated, recovery work began at the factory.

 -1944 – A number of workshops went into service. They continued with ammunition production, and alongside with this, they were preparing for production of replacement components for tractors and other types of farming machines.

-1948 – The factory experiences the second reconstruction in is history and production of pistons, piston pins and cylinder sleeves becomes its final specialization.

-1958 – the factory experiences the third reconstruction in succession. The construction of the future aluminum casthouse building was started. This casthouse went into service at the end of the year, it provided supplies of basic part mouldings of pistons, which were made of aluminum alloys instead of cast iron, to the motor-producing plants of Kharkov.

-The 70s – “Porshen” factory receives additional funds, allocated for the program of mastering and production of T-150 tractor with SMD diesel engine, for further development of production of pistons, pins and cylinder liners, constantly improving technology and installing new facilities.

 -1976 – the Ministry of tractor and agricultural engineering of the USSR took the decision of creation of “Kharkovtraktorozapchast” production association, which included “Traktorodetal” factory in Lozovaya, “Traktorozapchast” in Romny. 

-1983 – according to the Ministry’s decision, the production of piston pins is headed over to other factories of the country to promote further increase of pistons’ output.

-1985 – “Porshen’” factory begins to master the manufacture of VAZ pistons on its own initiative to keep the rate of development and solving social and economical issues.

-1989 – the concluding year of the program of focusing the specialization of the enterprise since the production of cylinder liners at the enterprise was stopped and handed over to Ministry’s allied enterprises – Kiev Lepse Factory and Konotop “Motordetal” factory.

-1989-1990 – dramatic increase of piston articles, within this period the manufacture of several articles was mastered along with constant increase of production volume.

-1992 – turning the state production association “Kharkovtraktorozapchast” into a joint-stock company. The enterprise’s going public took place following the Ukraine’s gaining independence. The affiliated enterprises “Traktorodetal” in Lozovaya and “Traktorozapchast” in Romny were turned into separate enterprises. The “Porshen” enterprise was renamed as “AVTRAMAT” JSC.

-2003 – our enterprise obtained the strategic partner – “Megabank” public corporation.

-2004 – Zmiev machine building plant became an affiliated enterprise of “AVTRAMAT” public corp. This is an enterprise which produces heavy disk harrows, industrial laundry equipment, and equipment for dry cleaners.

2005 - the solemn actions devoted to the 75 anniversary of “AVTRAMAT” JSC.

-December 2005 – “AVTRAMAT” public corp, solemnly celebrated the production of 30-million VAZ pistons.  

At present “AVTRAMAT” corporation has status of public corporation and remains the specialized enterprise producing pistons of any design for various internal-combustion engines, including all basic stages of technological production.
